Lydia VanCleave, 100, of Wood River passed away January 8, 2018.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Grand Island City Cemetery.  Rev.Darrell Holzinger officiating.  Visitation will be at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. She was born August 10, 1917 at Fremont, Nebraska to William and Ella (Dobberstein) Van Cleave.  She moved to Grand Island at the age of two and attended Grand Island Schools.  Lydia worked for Dr. R.W. Kahman for over 16 years.

She is survived by one brother Jerry VanCleave of Wood River, a sister-in-law Mabel VanCleave of Grand Island and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Special friends Marta Meier, Jan Holt, and Rogene Steiner.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and her brother Gene.
