Marlene Jane McGuan, 81 of Grand Island passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Brookfield Park Nursing Home in St, Paul.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 2 to 5 PM, Wednesday August 23 at Balz Banquet & Reception Hall in Grand Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to www.livson.com.
Marlene was born on April 13, 1936 at Grand Island to John and Suzie (Yocum) Williams. She united in marriage to Robert J. McGuan on September 22, 1972. Together the couple made their home in Grand Island.
Marlene owned and operated Williams Furniture Store for 24 years and retired in 1979.
She was a member of the Eagles Club. She also loved to play cards, bingo, going to the casino and taking trips with her family.
Marlene is survived by her two sons, Chris Williams and Robert J. McGuan II; four grandchildren, Candi Williams, Megan Zimmer, Hailey McGuan, Cecily McGuan; three great grandchildren, Tony, Tanya, and Gabi Espinoza; two great-great grandchildren, Azariah and Aubrie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Danny, Harvey, John, Charles and Roger; and two sisters, Barbara and Charlotte.
