Mary Ann was born November 25, 1948, in York, NE to Elmer and Dorothy (Berst) Critel. She graduated from Exeter High School and went on to take classes to be a nurse's aide.

She was united in marriage Richard Enevoldsen on April 20, 1974 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Geneva, NE. The couple made their home in Grand Island where Mary Ann worked as a nurse's aide at the Veteran's Home.She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the VA Ladies Auxiliary.Mary Ann enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and playing with her dog, Sugar, and going to stock car. races.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Richard of Grand Island; son, Richard Jr. (Paige) Enevoldsen of Grand Island; foster son, Brain Spanjer of Aurora, and brother, Gearld of Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Elmer Critel Jr. and Gerald Critel; and niece, Genevieve Critel.

Mary Ann Enevoldsen, 65, of Grand Island, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. According to Mary Ann's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Teresa Mason officiating.
