Mary J. Jarzynka, 78 of Grand Island passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Martin Egging officiating. Burial of ashes will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Mary was born on March 19, 1940, in Merrill, WI to Theodore and Ella (Paque) Dallman.

She was united in marriage to Donald Jarzynka in April 1984 at Grand Island.

Mary enjoyed bingo, gambling, and enjoyed puzzles and crafts in her younger years. She was a true artist with a vivid imagination. She enjoyed and admired her flowers outside of her home. She cherished family time and holidays, especially Christmas. She was a very warmhearted and loving mother and grandmother and always enjoyed a good joke and loved making everybody laugh.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Jarzynka; Children, Sherry (Murray) Greer, CO, Brian (Kathleen) Yost, CO, and Gwen (Jan) LaPlante, NE; Step Children, David Jarzynka, NE, and Carrie (Anthony) Brison, NE.

Other survivors include grandchildren, Suzie Bourgeois, James Boyd, Chrissy Burry, Justin Wieczorek; Joshua Yost; Step-grandchildren, Avery Jarzynka, Kenny & Logan & Jessica and Julia Brison; and great grandchildren, Haley Goehring, Jadon LaPlante, Elizabeth and Jax Burry, James Jr., Bella and Wyatt Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Yost; brother, Glenn; and sister, Edna.
