Mary Ann Steinbach Muirhead was born to Henry and Rosella (Greenwalt) on January 1, 1939, at St. Libory, NE. on the John Greenwalt farm.

Mary had a wonderful childhood growing up in St. Paul, NE. She had jobs at a young age providing childcare, soda jerk at Brehm's Drug Store and Car hop at Franks's Drive-In.

She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1957.She then worked for Mutual of Omaha and upon returning to Grand Island, worked at secretarial jobs until at age 21 when she was severely injured in a car accident and left paralyzed.

After a two year recovery, she was able to resume working. She met and married Todd Muirhead while working at Rainbow Bread office. They were married October 20, 1972. They were blessed with a daughter, Angela Lynn and a son Michael Todd. While raising her children, she operated The Little People Place Daycare in her home for 9 years providing care for over 100 children at that time.

She enjoyed being a volunteer for Senior Companion Services through the Grand Generation Center for several years. She was a member of VFW Club, Platt Deutsche, Ladies Society, and YWCA.

Mary is survived by Daughter, Angela and Son-in-Law Adam Castaneda; Son, Michael and Daughter-in-Law Sunny Muirhead; Grandchildren, Taylor and Kaitlyn Castaneda, Ariel, Travis, Jacob, and Jaxon Muirhead; sister, Arlene and Brother-in-Law Larry Obermiller; Great-Grand Daughter, Adaline Berks; several nieces, and nephews.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents; brother, La Verne; husband, Todd; and special Angel, Travis Petzoldt.
