Obituary

Mary Lou Randolph, 74, of Grand Island died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Mary Lou was born on January 10, 1940 in Grand Island to Edward and Margaret (Caveny) Cahalane. She grew up in Grand Island and attended catholic school. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1958. She married Duncan Long. The couple lived in Lincoln, California, and back to Grand Island. In 1972 she married Don Randolph and they lived in Grand Island. Mary Lou started as a waitress at Riverside Golf club and later became the office administrator. She was employed there for 40 years. When she semi-retired, she worked the information desk at the mall. She completely retired in the Spring of 2013.

She enjoyed reading, shopping, politics, yard work, country music, family activities, and church activities.

Mary Lou is survived by son: Todd Long of Grand Island; daughter: Robin Long of Grand Island; grandson: Kyle Patterson (Christine Meininger) of Grand Island; great grandchildren: Akirra Patterson, Taylor Meininger, and Grant Meininger. Her Goddaughter Sebrina Bergmeier.Mary Lou is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Edward, Raymond, and Jerry Cahalane; and sister: Patricia Roe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday with a Scripture Wake Service at 7 pm Blessed Sacrament.
Memorials are suggested to the Heart Association, Humane Society, or donor's choice.
