Mildred M. (Stolle) Arent, 88, of Grand Island died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Tiffany Square in Grand Island. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:30 am at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Pastor Caroline Price-Gibson officiating with internment at Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5-8 pm.

Mildred was born December 26, 1923, to John and Johanna (Roby) Stolle in Grand Island. She attended and graduated from Grand Island public schools. She married Donald Arent on October 12, 1946, in Grand Island where they lived and raised their family.
She worked as a bookkeeper for the family business for many years and was also a clerk at Miller and Paine. Mildred was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Saddle Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, watching ballgames, spending time with and attending grandchildren's activities, and card club.
Survivors include three sons: Jerry and his wife (Gaylene) Arent of Kearney, NE; Ronald and his wife (Kathy) Arent of Grand Island, NE; David Arent and his wife (Victoria Kraft) of Pueblo, CO; one daughter: Susan and her busband (Randy) Barlow of Grand Island, NE; grandchildren: Christy & Cory Johnson of Amherst, NE; Carrie & Dan Leisinger of Gibbon, NE; Sean & Lavonne Arent of Grand Island, NE; Stephanie & Jake Frana of Lincoln; and Skyler Barlow of Grand Island; 8 great grand-children; one sister, Roberta Eunson of California and one brother, Raymond Stolle of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents: John & Johanna; husband: Donald; brother: Leroy Stolle; brother-in-law: Ted Eunson; and sister-in-law: Phyllis Stolle.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
