Milton Antonio Alvarado Sr., 43 of Grand Island passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018.Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 9 at St. Mary's Cathedral with The Reverend Scott Harter officiating at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with a Parish Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Milton was born in San Vicente, El Salvador on January 9, 1974 to Concepcion Alvarado and raised by Carlos R. Fajardo. His family moved to California in the early 80's, where he later met his first wife together they had 2 children: Steve and Lizet. In the early 90's the family moved to Grand Island where he met his second wife, together they had 5 children: Joellen, Jimmy, Jacob, Milton Jr. and Jonathan.
He started with Chief Industries in 1997 where he just celebrated 20 years. He was a very loving and caring man who would do anything for his children. He loved hunting and fishing.
He enjoyed listening to corridos in his spare time and had a love for cars. He was a hard worker and a great father, son, and brother.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Jolene; their shared sons, Milton Jr. and Jonathan Alvarado both of Grand Island; three step-children, Jimmy, Joellen and Jacob Barrientes, all of Grand Island; other surviving children and their spouses, Steve Alvarado of Kenosha, WI, Lizet and Angel Penalvert of Kenosha, WI; fourteen grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Concepcion Alvarado.
