Neva Beth Mesloh, 83, of Wood River, formerly of Grand Island, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Wood River.
A Memorial Mass will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island. Father Todd Philipsen will officiate. According to her wishes Mrs. Mesloh was cremated. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is serving the family.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Neva was born on November 3, 1930 at Oak, Nebraska to Wilbur and Mary (Burkett) Whartman. She grew up in Oak and graduated from Oak High School.
She was united in marriage to John Kramer in 1947 at St. Paul, Nebraska. To this union two daughters were born, Linda and Cathy. She later married Herb Mesloh. Neva worked for Skagway and Mid-town Holiday Inn.
She enjoyed crocheting and loved fishing.
Neva is survived by her daughter, Linda Helm and her husband Darrel of Sioux Falls, SD; a son-in-law, Doug Cremeen of Grand Island; three grandchildren, Troy Helm and his wife Chrystal, Jeff Helm and his wife Nicole, and Corie Helm; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cathy Cremeen; a brother, Jerry Whartman; and two sisters, Sally Meyer and Janiece Madison.
