Norma G. Hill, 77, of Grand Island passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2023.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Grand Island City Cemetery. The Reverend Mark Oberbeck will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later time.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Norma was born on July 22, 1946 at Riverton, Nebraska to Alfred and Nellie (Watson) Schriner. She grew up on a farm and loved riding her horse Trixy. She graduated from Northwest High School in 1965.

On October 15, 1966, she was united in marriage to Lyle Hill in Grand Island, Nebraska. The couple lived and raised a family.

Norma enjoyed gardening.

She worked varies jobs that included Grand Island Ordinance Plant, Jack & Jills, and Econo-Foods.

Norma was a member and a Deacon of First Presbyterian Church.

Norma is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Heather (Erin) Job of Florida, and Holly Hill of Grand Island; 3 granddaughters, Kali (Joshua) Howell of Phillips, Macy & Megan Job of Florida; and a cousin Kathe (Laverne) Carlton.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, her parents, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ezra Ike & Doris Hill.
