Norma L. Kramer, 86, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, July 23, 2018 at Lebensraum Assisted Living.

She was born on December 15, 1931 at Grand Island, NE to Francis and Vera (Roach) Van Gordon. She grew up in Grand Island and attended Jefferson Grade School, Walnut Junior High School, and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1950.

She was united in marriage to Arnold Kramer on September 7, 1952 at Newman Grove, NE. To this union they had two children, Steven in 1954, and Karen in 1956.

She was an employee of Central Catholic Schools, Kaufman dress shop in Grand Island, Blue Hill Nursing Home, and Saint Francis Memorial Hospital until she retired and continued doing volunteer work after that.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and his wife, Steven (Carmen) Kramer of Grand Island, NE; daughter and her husband, Karen (Dick) Davis of Grand Island, NE; five grandchildren, Josh (Vicki) Kramer of Omaha, NE, Zach (Jana) Kramer of Doniphan, NE, Becca (Ray) Galindo of Grand Island, NE, Jeff (Misty) Reed of Dannebrog, NE, and Evan Davis of Grand Island, NE; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Arnold "Arnie" Kramer; her parents Francis and Vera Van Gordon; siblings, Jerry Lee, Sondra, and Robert.The family would also like to thank the staff at Lebensraum Assisted Living and CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center Skilled Care Unit. Also the many friends that cared for her over the years.
