Orville Arthur Rohlck, 90, of Grand Island, passed away, Friday, September 23, 2016 at CHI Health St Francis in Grand Island.

Orville was born on March 20, 1926 to Phillip E. and Ruth E. (Wieting) Rohlck in Delmont, SD. He was baptized on April 4, 1926 and confirmed on June 16, 1940, both by his grandfather, Rev. Christian Wieting at Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont. He graduated from Delmont High School on May 14, 1943 and from South Dakota State University on June 5, 1950.
He served in the United States Army in WWII and in the Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Veterans Administration for 23 years before retiring in 1986.
On September 18, 1949 he married Lorraine H. Romsdahl and to this union 3 children were born: Kathryn (Nick) Powers, Brenda (Doug) Sanford, and Steven Rohlck. He later married Dorothea H. Mackenthun on October 17, 1965. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Grand Island.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; his 3 children; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother Eilert.
