Obituary

Randall "Randy" L. Kowalski, 56, of Grand Island, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, March 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Gillam officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. A visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel.

Randy was born in Grand Island to Alvin Sr. and Francis (Meyer) Kowalski on March, 4, 1960. He grew up on the family farm and was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island. He also ushered at St. Pauls alongside his brother while in school. Randy was very active in the FFA and 4H.
He was a lifelong farmer, a very hard worker, and really loved what he did. It was his life. Randy enjoyed smoking meats and barbequing for friends and family. He also loved playing and watching sports.
Randy was a member of the Grand Island Saddle Club.
Survivors include his nephews and niece, Alvin III and Meghann Kowalski, Cole Kowalski, Arron Kowalski and Cathrine Kowalski, all of Grand Island; great niece, Makenzie; cousins, Rod Robinson and Renee Reher, both of Grand Island, Carol Grimminger of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Barb and Richard Gillham of Doniphan and close family friends, Ken and Joan Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin Kowalski Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Kowalski.
