Richard "Dick" Hatcher, 67, of Grand Island died Friday, May 13, 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. John Markworth will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. According to Dick's wishes there will be no viewing. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Richard Lee Hatcher was born on February 8, 1944 in Grand Island the son of Leonard and Grace (Hatcher) Morris. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School.
He entered the United States Army in June of 1966 and was honorably discharged in February 1967.
Dick was united in marriage to Carol Markworth on June 18, 1967 in Grand Island. The couple made their home in Grand Island where he worked as a mason for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Platt Duetsche and a past member of the American Legion. Dick enjoyed golfing with his friends and camping with his grandkids. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the New York Yankees.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife Carol of Grand Island, two sons and a daughter-in-law; Danny Hatcher of Omaha and Mickey and Donna Hatcher of Grand Island, and a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jon Kister of Ocala, FL.
Additional survivors include grandchildren; Michelle Hatcher, Shayna Sharp, Douglas Stewart, Tasha, Stephanie, Danielle and Nathan Hatcher, Casey Hatcher and Kyle Kister.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
