Roberta M. Baker, 88, of Monette, AR died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.
Memorial services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Burial of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Baker was born on June 25, 1922 in Bronx, New York to Robert W. and Agnes H. (Hicks) Monholand. She grew up and received her education in Long Island, NY.
She was united in marriage to Edwin Baker on August 10, 1945 in New York, NY. The couple made their home in Grand Island where she worked for motels in the area. She also worked as a babysitter for many families in Grand Island.
Roberta loved to cook, crochet and read.
She is survived by three sons; Dennis Baker of St. Paul, NE, Larry (Margie) Baker of Atlanta, GA, and Leon (Enedina) Baker of Blytheville, AR, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son William Baker.
