Rosie was born July 2, 1929, in Lexington, NE, to George and Katherine Fotinos. Her family moved to a farmstead near Wood River in 1938. Rosie attended country school near Wood River and graduated from Wood River High School in 1946. Early in her life, Rosie worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. It is there that she met the love of her life, Elmer Carruth. They were married on December 26, 1952, and then moved to Grand Island, NE.

Rosie enjoyed being a homemaker and was a great help to her husband as they built their own home in Grand Island. Later on, Rosie also worked at Delicious Foods as a supervisor. She enjoyed the art form of music and could often be heard singing in her home throughout the day. The love of the Lord and her singing led her to join the Inter-Faith Community Choir of which she was a member for many years. Rosie spent most of her retirement years taking care of her home, visiting her sons & family in New Hampshire, and reading her bible.

Survivors of her immediate family include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Geri Carruth of Strafford, NH, and her son, Michael Carruth of Sanbornville, NH.

Also surviving are two granddaughters, Samantha Carruth and Keri Walker of Maine, two grandsons, Ronnie and Amanda Carruth and son, Ezekiel Heinis of Nebraska and Adam and Alice Carruth of New Mexico, two great-grandsons, Evan Robert Walker of Maine and Nathaniel Carruth of New Mexico, and three great-granddaughters, Liliana Carruth of New Mexico, Payton, and Kinglsee Masse of Maine.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Julia Thomas and Liz Sullivan, and two brothers, Peter Fotinos and Andy Fotinos.

A special thank you to the caring and wonderful staff at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. The staff was always so thoughtful and kind to her, and she was always so well taken care of. Memories and online condolences may be directed to www.livson.com.
