SaVanna Wood, 15, of Polk, NE passed away on December 10, 2023 at home.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island, NE. An inurnment will follow in the Polk Cemetery. SaVanna was born February 20, 2008 in Hastings, NE. She currently attended 10th grade at High Plains Community High School. She is loved by many including her close friends and family. SaVanna was passionate about helping others in need, including ones with paws and hooves. She dreamt of becoming a veterinarian and foster mom. Her love and kindness showed no bounds.

She loved art and music. She always surprised others with her knowledge of lyrics, no matter the song you played. She sang and danced like no one was watching, and enjoyed living in the moment. Her favorite colors were pink, purple, or anything that sparkled.

She is survived by her mother, Keli Wood-Petersen of Polk, NE; grandparents, Gary and Julia Wood of Polk, NE; sisters and brother, Ashleigh Hayman of Grand Island, NE, Megan Manka of Hastings, NE, Charli Petersen of Sidney, NE and Garrett Manka of Polk, NE. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
