Shari Lynne Sykes, 63, of Grand Island died Friday, November 8th in Grand Island surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness.
Per Shari's wishes there will be no funeral service.
Shari was born November 13, 1960 in Hastings to George R Gundelfinger Sr. and Karen L Gundelfinger (McNeill).
Shari grew up in Hastings and spent time in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Alabama and Arkansas.
Shari was United in marriage on February 17, 2011 to David Sykes in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Shari is survived by her brother George Gundelfinger Jr and wife Denise of Grand Island, her brother Geoff Gundelfinger and wife Kim of Fort Collins, CO, her daughter Jennifer Boslau and partner Bruce Noble of Hastings, her son Adam Boslau and partner Wyatt Ashley of Colby, KS, nephew Geordan Gundelfinger of Grand Island, nieces Kate, Alyssa, and Ashley Gundelfinger of Fort Collins, CO, and three grandchildren Michael, Noah, and Emma of Hastings along with her work family from Perkins.
Shari was preceded in death by her father George, her mother Karen, and her husband David.
A small celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
