Shirley Ann (Benson) Anderson, 88, passed away on February 5, 2017, at Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, NE.

Shirley was united in marriage to Robert A. Anderson on October 4, 1945.  She was married to him until his death in 2009.  She was a secretary and receptionist for Dr. Zuspan, and she was the bookkeeper for Anderson Radiator Service in Grand Island, NE, which she owned with her husband.  Shirley enjoyed shopping, visiting with friends, collecting dolls, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Douglas A. Anderson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Constance and Randall Burton of Holbrook, NE.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, Erik Anderson (Kori) of Jefferson City, MO, Michelle Lytle (Patrick) of Verona, WI, Ben Anderson (Alyssa) of North Little Rock, AR, Robyn Kraemer (Kody) of McPherson, KS, Reid Burton (Julianne) of Tulsa OK, and Brett Burton (Tiffany), of Edison, NE; and nine great grandchildren, Ellie, Karter, Sean, Andrea, Malia, Charley, Ty, Annabelle, and Luke.   She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Colleen Johnson of Grand Island, NE.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.  Cremation was provided through Westlawn Memorial Park Crematory.  Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
