Steven Daryl Baxter, 60, of Grand Island, passed away on December 2, 2016 surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 PM, Saturday January 14th at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Grand Island.

Steve was born on December 2, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Grand Island.
Steve was a very special person, he loved life and everyone he met. He especially loved his nephews and nieces (Ryan Baxter, Amanda Baxter-Black, Bryce Baxter, Graham Baxter, Jameson Hanson, Alex Baxter, Ben Baxter and Maddy Baxter).

Steve was very active, he loved to bowl, dance, and skate. He also competed in the Special Olympics.
Steve was a member of St Stephens Episcopal church of Grand Island and he served the church as an alter server for over 20 years.

Steve worked at several local Grand Island restaurants including Country Kitchen and Dreisbachs Steak House, he also worked on the family farm.

Steve was an inspiration to his entire family.

Steve is survived by his father, Daryl; brothers, Mike, Scott and Jeff and Sister Lisa
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sallie.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family to be designated to at a later date.
