Obituary

Terry D. Shaw, age 76, of Central City, passed away April 13, 2022 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center.

Celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:30am at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Pastor Luke Biggs officiating.  The service will be livestreamed on the funeral homes YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfhVBVRegU_3S7w9nUxfu6Q .  Visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 from 5-7pm at the funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

He was born October 15, 1945 in Trona, CA to William and Jennie (Andrews) Shaw.  He grew up in Oxford, NE.  He attended and played football at Oxford High School graduating with the class of 1963.

He was united in marriage to Clarice on April 19, 1964 and to this union two sons, Russell and Randall were born.  They lived in Chappell, NE where he was employed at Lepino Foods.  They moved to Grand Island in 1968 and Terry was employed at the Ordinance Plant as a bomb inspector, delivery driver for UPS, Quality Sew and Vac and owned and operated A1 Vacuum.  On May 20, 2005 he was united in marriage to Linda and to this union a daughter, Kali was born and they made Central City their home.

Terry enjoyed going to auctions and buying things he could resell, fishing, working on cars and riding motorcycles.  He was a fan of NASCAR, attending stock car races, gardening, sewing and fixing sewing machines.  He was a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by children, Russ (Tara) Shaw of Grand Island, Randy (Jonell) Shaw of Grand Island and Kali (Wyatt) Jansen of Central City; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Rodney Shaw; cousin, Dennis Moser; sister in-law, Suzanne Shaw; special friend, Julie Lempka and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouses, Linda and Clarice; grandsons, Dustin Shaw and Andy Molzahn; brother, Larry Shaw; nephew, Mark Shaw and sister in-law, Sharon Shaw.
