Theo Kae Grant, 78, of Cairo, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Grand Island.

Kae was born on October 5, 1947, in Hawthorne, California, to Theodore & Sara (Fisher) Drew.

She was raised in Loomis, Nebraska, and Estherville, Iowa, through grade school and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod). She went to high school in Kearney, Nebraska.

Kae was united in marriage to Bill S. Grant on July 14, 1990. She had a very special relationship with Bill's mother, Emily.

Bill and Kae worked together as over-the-road truck drivers until Bill died in 1997. Kae continued to drive a truck until an injury in 1999. What she loved most about truck driving was the opportunity to see the whole country, border to border.

She attended Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo, and her favorite verse was John 3:16. Kae was known for her collection of 254 clowns.

She was very appreciative of the kindnesses shown to her over the years and had much love for her friends, family, and neighbors.

Kae is survived by her stepsons, Larry, Bill Jr., and Christopher Grant, and 7 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, and her infant daughter, Sarah.
