Thomas "Tom" E. Minor, 77, of Grand Island, NE passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at CHI Health Saint Francis Medical Center.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Holzinger officiating. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Tom was born October 19, 1941 to Dewey and Viola (Brown) Minor at Nebraska City, NE. The family lived in various places before making their home on the family farm near Cairo, NE.

He married Doris Gonzales on February 3, 1964 at Denver, CO.

He enjoyed stockcar racing where he built his own stock car, a '32 roadster, #6 orange, named Little Tom. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing, and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Beverly (Woods) Wortman, Paul Jr. Woods, Toni Woods, Carl Woods; and Hope Woods; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Babe and Delores; brother, Clarence; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents, Dewey and Viola; brother, Buck.
