Vaden A. "Stu" Fuller, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.
To honor his wishes, cremation was chosen and no services will be held. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Vaden was born on April 30, 1943 in rural Bloomington, Nebraska to Earl and Mary (Kennedy) Fuller, the 9th of 9 children all given names that began with "V". He was raised mainly in McCook, Nebraska where his family owned and operated a diner and he attended high school there.
Vaden joined the United States Navy in 1960 during the Vietnam era. He was honorably discharged in June 1964. After serving in the military, he worked as a supervisor for a few years at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant in Alda, in the production of bomb and ammunition.
Vaden enjoyed cooking, a good cigar and a nice glass of wine.
Vaden traveled Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and Colorado working in chain restaurant managment until he retired to Burwell, Nebrska.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick & Denise Fuller and Jeffrey & Lisa Fuller of Cedar Park, TX; five grandchildren, Regan, Sydney, Luke, Braeden and Kayley; two sisters, Veneta Softley of Alliance, Nebraska and Vonna Dey of Burwell, Nebraska.
