Weert W. Lammers, 85 of Grand Island, NE, died Sunday January 21, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society.Funeral Services will be Tuesday January 30, 10:30 AM at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Cathryn Love will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday.

Mr. Lammers was born on January 11, 1933 at Pleasanton, NE to Frank and Cora (Hughes) Lammers. He married Sharon Carruth on June 25, 1982. The Couple lived in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Weert worked as a Crew Chief Fire Fighter until retirement.He enjoyed fishing and camping with the Rolling Eagles Camping Club.

Survivors of the immediate family include sons, Warren Lammers of Guide Rock, NE, Kevin Lammers of Grand Island, NE; step-son, Rodney Bruer (Lovett) of New Town, ND; daughter, Rhonda (Robert) Larkowski of Longmont, CO; step-daughters, Marilyn Bruer of Beatrice, NE, Carol (Rory) Allen of Pender, NE;

Other survivors include sister-in-law, Erma Lammers of Ravenna, NE; brother-in-law, Carl Lewis of Riverdale, NE; three grandchildren, numerous Step Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and Two Great-Great Grandchildren.

Weert was preceded in death by his wife Sharon; two sons, Robert Lammers, and Brian Lammers; three sisters, Irene Thomsen and Coralee McClunkin, Darleen Lewis; and one brother, Donald Lammers.
