William "Bill" M. Berney, II, 72, of Hastings, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings.

William was born on February 17, 1943 in Greeley, NE to William and Agnes (McKenzie) Berney. He grew up in the Grand Island area and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1963. He worked for several companies as a delivery truck driver.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Bleau on June 21, 2000 in Hastings. After which the couple resided in Hastings. He was a past member of the Eagles Club. William enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV; especially the Huskers. He also liked outdoor activities when he was able and grilling.

William is survived by his wife: Patricia; children William (Rose) Berney III, Todd (Gia) Berney, Robbie Berney, Kim Berney, Crystal Jensen, Pearl (Daryl) Edmunds; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters: Judy (Gilbert) Jonson, Dorthy Dennhardt; and sisters-in-law: Viola Berney, and Clarlene Berney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Mary Ellen Miller, Jean Liser, Agnes Rohastch, Rita Horse; brothers: Joe Berney, Frankie Berney, and Raymond Berney,

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island with Pastor Mark Oberbeck officiating. Visitation with the family present will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island.
